The Junior League of Youngstown

1. Identifies community needs and appropriate responses.

2. Raises funds to meet those needs.

3. Recruits women committed to volunteerism and building a better community.

TRAINED TO SERVE

The Junior League of Youngstown educates and trains our members to provide
effective volunteer service, to research changing community needs, and to initiate
projects or services to meet those needs.

Membership includes opportunities for training for effective community leadership,
including public relations and marketing, finance, fundraising, advocacy,
community research, and personal development.

Once a project is in place, the League's goal is to transfer it into the leadership of
an appropriate community organization, or to create the leadership in the community
to continue to meet the need.
