Founded in 1901 by Mary
Harriman, the Junior Leagues are charitable nonprofit organizations of
women, developed as civic leaders, creating demonstrable community
impact.
Today, The Association of
Junior Leagues International, Inc. is comprised of more than 155,000
women in 292 Junior Leagues throughout Canada, Mexico, the UK and the
US. Collectively, we constitute one of the largest, most effective
volunteer organizations in the world.

17th Annual
Pink Ribbon Tea
was held on Monday, September 26, 2011 at The Georgetown.
Approximately 370 were in attendance.
The keynote speakers included
Dr. Rashid Abdu
who promise to his wife Joanie has been the inspiration
behind the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Center.
Dr. Nancy Gantt,
Co-Medical Director of the Center
Lisa Klenoshak,
a Pittsburgh author of a children's book about cancer survival.
The Georgetown provided a delicious lunch and music entertainment by Edelweiss was enjoyed by all.
Thirty books were given out as gifts and there was a plentiful supply of bag auction items available for raffle.
An Apple IPad was awarded as a door prize to one survivor.
