Founded in 1901 by Mary Harriman, the Junior Leagues are charitable nonprofit organizations of women, developed as civic leaders, creating demonstrable community impact.
 
Today, The Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. is comprised of more than 155,000 women in 292 Junior Leagues throughout Canada, Mexico, the UK and the US. Collectively, we constitute one of the largest, most effective volunteer organizations in the world.

Sustainer Membership

Sustaining members are those who, having been admitted to Sustaining membership, continue to support their league and their community.  A member who has been an Active member or a combination Active/Preferred Active member for a minimum of eight years may request Sustaining status.  The Junior League of Youngstown has an active population of sustaining members who organize a number of Junior Leagueevents including the Pink Ribbon Tea, Mother and Daughter Brunch, and the Angel Ball.
