They were formally introduced to the 175 guests, as Michele Grant, league president, read their names and a trumpet fanfare by Taylor Leonard of Poland announced their presentation.

The angels waltzed the first dance with their fathers, while the male honorees danced with their mothers.
Following the formal presentation, a sit down dinner feted the angels, honorees, their families and invited guests. The menu included Lake Club Salad, a duet plate of filet mignon and rolled chicken breast stuffed with spinach drizzled with red pepper cream sauce, wild rice, French green beans and pecan balls with fudge. Hors d’hoeuvres of spanikopeta, stuffed mushrooms and water chestnuts wrapped in bacon were butlered during cocktail hour. The invocation was given by Rev. Dr. Charles J. Lundquist, grandfather of angel Britta Carson.
The tables, appointed in earth tone dressings of ivory linens and chocolate brown runners, were accented with centerpieces of glass compote bowls or a trio of glass vases with floating candles, under a bed of lavender rose pedals and votive candles. The large rectangular king’s table at the center of the room, where the angels and honorees and their escorts and dates were seated, was adorned with groupings of ivory candles atop ivory candle sticks encrusted with pearls and vases holding the angels’ nosegays, all set on a background of lavender rose pedals and votive candles. Evergreen trees glazed in white twinkle lights graced the room, along with large wreaths of holly and greenery tied with copper bows. From the banquet room view, a backdrop of the Club’s scenic grounds displayed its large tree decorated in multicolored lights and red velvet bows, accentuated by a white-light garland stairway.
