The Junior League of Youngstown has announced its 16th annual Pink Ribbon Tea. It will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 at The Georgetown in Boardman, Ohio.  Doors open at 11:00 a.m.; lunch at noon; speaker begins at 1:00 p.m.

The Speaker this year will be Regina Brett.  Regina is  a metro columnist at The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio, an author and a breast cancer survivor. The Plain Dealer is the largest newspaper in Ohio and the 16th largest in the country, with a circulation of more than 300,000 and a readership of more than 1 million. Her book entitled God Never Blinks: 50 Lessons for Life's Little Detours is currently on the New York Times Best Seller list. Regina's awards include Pulitzer Prize Finalist, 2009 and 2008; National Headliner Award; Silver Gavel; Press Club Journalism Hall of Fame. The Junior League's Pink Ribbon Tea is FREE for breast- cancer survivors, but reservations are required.

The Pink Ribbon Tea is a project of the sustaining members of the Junior League of Youngstown. The Tea began in 1994, and more than 4,000 survivors have attended the event.

Costs for breast-cancer survivors to attend are covered through personal donations by Junior League members and the support of the event underwriters.
